As the new year approaches, we find ourselves reflecting on a year that has brought not only unimaginable grief and deep sadness to our community, but also moments of hope and resilience. The tragedy of October 7th and the ongoing war have shaken us to our core. Yet, even in this turbulent time, we see incredible strength and resilience in those around us. In the face of devastation, we come together—not to erase the pain, but to find healing through the support of one another.
While the pain of the October 7th tragedy is still so fresh and the war continues, talking about empowerment and consolation may seem impossible. But it is in these darkest moments that we are reminded of the gift we have from God—the strength to persevere while we are going through it. As a people, we have a deep, shared history of enduring traumatic and dark times, yet we have always found the strength to survive and rebuild.
As we step into the New Year amidst the ongoing war, we remain committed to empowering the young women in our programs and supporting the broader community. Whether through therapeutic bike ridin
g for evacuees and those displaced by the conflict, after-school activities, each individual is given the space to find their personal strength, even in the hardest moments.
We enter this New Year with heavy hearts and also with hope and prayer we see all the hostages come home and for the soldiers to be safe and healthy. Be'ezrat Hashem, together, we will continue to grow and heal. Wishing you a Shana Tova—a year of healing, comfort, and empowerment.
Warm regards,
